Flows let you create interactive, multi-step experiences where content changes based on user actions.

Common use cases include:

  • Sign-up flows: Welcome new users and capture their goals or information

  • Carousels: Cycle through testimonials, features, or resources

  • Tabbed content: Let users switch between different views

  • Navigation menus: Create custom navigation experiences

Create a Flow

  1. In the Candu editor, go to Components

  2. Drag the Empty Flow block onto your canvas

  3. Add your content inside the Flow container

Build Flow steps

Each step in your Flow is a separate piece of content that shows when triggered.

Important: Any content outside the Flow container appears on every step.

To add a new step:

  1. Select your Flow container

  2. In the floating menu, click Add Step

  3. Switch between steps to design each one

To duplicate a step:

  • Right-click the three dots next to the step in the floating menu and click Duplicate

To reorder steps:

  • Right-click the three dots next to the step in the floating menu and use the arrows to move the step left or right

To delete a step:

  • Right-click the three dots next to the step in the floating menu and click the trash bin icon

Connect Flow steps

Link steps together so users can navigate through your Flow.

  1. Select a button or card that should trigger the next step

  2. In the hover toolbox, click Interactions

  3. Select Go to Flow Step

  4. Choose your navigation option:

    • Specific step: Jump to a particular step

    • Next step: Go forward one step

    • Previous step: Go back one step

  5. Add an Interaction Label to track this action in analytics

Save users progress

Let users pick up where they left off if they navigate away mid-Flow.

  1. Select your Flow step container

  2. Go to Flow Settings

  3. Toggle on Save user progress through Flow

When on, users who return to the page will start from their last completed step instead of the beginning.

Preview Flows

You have four ways to preview before publishing:

Preview Flow button

  1. Select your Flow container

  2. Click Preview Flow in the editor

View flow chart

  1. Select your Flow container

  2. Click View Flow Chart

  3. See a visual map of all steps and how they connect

Share Link

  1. Click Share in the top right

  2. Set to Can view and copy the link

  3. Preview in a new tab or share with teammates
