Schedule Candu Content

Choose when Candu content is published and unpublished automatically, and manage scheduled, live, and ended content.

Written by Jonathan Anderson

Before you start: Scheduled times are shown in your current time zone. If your team works across multiple time zones, check the date, time, and time zone before saving.

Use a publishing schedule to control when Candu starts and stops serving a piece of content. You do not need to create a segment or republish the content when the scheduled time arrives.

Schedule content

  1. Open the content you want to schedule in the Candu Editor.

  2. Open the publish-status menu in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Schedule start and end date.

  4. Under Publish, choose when the content should become live:

    • Leave Immediately selected to make it live now.

    • Or select a future date and time.

  5. Under Unpublish, choose when the content should stop being served:

    • Leave Never selected if it should stay live.

    • Or select an end date and time.

  6. Click Save schedule.

You can set only a start time, only an end time, or both. The unpublish time must be later than the publish time.

Understand schedule statuses

  • SCHEDULED: The content is not live yet and will be published automatically at the scheduled start time.

  • PUBLISHED: The content is live. If an end time is set, Candu shows when it will be unpublished.

  • ENDED: The scheduled end time has passed and the content is no longer being served.

Schedule details appear in the Editor's publish menu and on the content card in your Content list.

Change or remove a schedule

  1. Open the publish-status menu.

  2. Choose the action you need:

    • Change dates to edit the publish or unpublish time.

    • Remove schedule, make live to clear the schedule and publish the content now.

    • Unpublish now to stop serving the content immediately.

For ended content, select Publish again to clear the old schedule and make the content live.

Common scheduling scenarios

  • Planned launches: Set a future publish time for a feature announcement or release.

  • Time-limited campaigns: Set both publish and unpublish times for promotions, events, or holiday messages.

  • Automatic expiry: Set only an unpublish time for content that is already live but should disappear later.
