How to embed a YouTube video

Embed YouTube videos directly in your Candu content to share tutorials, product demos, or educational content with users right where they need it.

  1. Go to your video library in YouTube

  2. Open the video you want to embed

  3. Click the Share button beneath the video

  4. Copy the link shown (it will look like: https://youtu.be/xxxxx)

  5. In the Candu Editor, open the content where you want to add the video

  6. Drag a Player component from the Media section of the Palette (left sidebar)

  7. Paste your YouTube link into the URL field

  8. Click Add

Tip: Use the width and height controls in the right sidebar to set your video size. Consider your content layout and where users will encounter this video when choosing dimensions.

Notes:

  • Private videos won't display to your users. Your YouTube video must be set to Public or Unlisted to embed in Candu.

  • Videos won't autoplay when your content loads. Users must click play.

  • View counts for embedded videos may not register on YouTube's analytics.
